FLUENTBODY™

WITH THERESA KRETSCH

About Fluentbody™

Fluentbody™ is a combination of movement and somatic exploration that helps people to be generous to their body and mind. The method was developed by Florencia Lamarca.

Theresa takes you on a soulful journey through Fluentbody, exploring the language, wisdom and power of our bodies.
Using a combination of varying creative movements, rhythms and breathing techniques, we open the doors to physical and emotional sensations. From there, we investigate how to allow ourselves to be truly authentic - to explore, be, breathe and connect without the constraints of right or wrong.

About Theresa

Theresa has been a certified Fluentbody™ facilitator since 2021 and has been guiding people in Berlin and Guelph (Canada) through courses that focus on movement and somatic exploration. With great sensitivity, she creates spaces in which participants can get in touch with their bodies in a mindful way.
If you’re interested in one-on-one Fluentbody sessions for personalized support, or would like to include a Fluentbody workshop at your event, feel free to get in touch: theresakretsch@gmail.com.
Fluentbody can be a wonderful addition to festivals, weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations.
My intention is to help people reconnect with their bodies and discover a sense of community and joy through movement.

Workshops

1. Watercolour & Fluentbody Workshop
Facilitated by @greta.riondato & me on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at The Common.

We began the session with an introduction to both watercolour and the Fluentbody method. To open the space, participants created a collaborative painting, using intuitive movement as a way to introduce themselves.

We then danced together, allowing movement to guide us into deeper expression. This experience was later translated into individual watercolour paintings, using the painting process as a visual form of journaling. Throughout the workshop, we explored the relationship between fluidity, colour, and coincidence—connecting the essence of both practices. Participants painted their embodied experiences from the class, letting movement flow onto paper.

2. Boundlessness: A Sound & Movement Workshop
Co-facilitated with @echeverri5306 at @silenceguelph

How can we access a sense of boundlessness by combining sound and movement?

In early September 2023, we invited participants to explore improvisation through both modalities. The workshop included a series of guided exercises designed to awaken the senses and build trust in spontaneous expression. This gradually transitioned into an open-format sound-movement exploration.

Together, we asked: Where does sound end and movement begin? How do they influence and travel with one another? The space offered room for experimentation, connection, and the joy of creating in the moment.

Welcome to my Website!

I’m finally following my inner voice—creating a space and events that weave art and movement into embodied experiences. It took me time to find the courage to begin, and I’m so excited to share this journey with you.

In 2021, I became a Fluentbody™ Facilitator. Since then, I’ve taught classes in Berlin and Guelph.  Fluentbody™ is a combination of movement and somatic exploration that helps people to be generous to their body and mind. You can learn more about its uniqueness and origins @florencialarmarca.

Back in 2018, I completed my Master of Arts in Textile and Surface Design—a field that continues to shape my artistic perspective and movement practice. I’m especially drawn to the impact of color and the ways we sense the world through touch and texture.

I’ll be offering online classes that combine Fluentbody™ with art-based exercises to help integrate and process your experience. I’ll also share classes focused on the fusion of movement and art—an interdisciplinary space where bodily expression becomes a creative act, and art is deeply embodied.
This practice invites emotional exploration, sensory awareness, and intuitive creativity. This is just the beginning—a journey to make moved creativity part of our everyday lives.

I’ll be posting a daily video as part of my own practice, and I invite you to join me @flow_with_theresa
I know the challenge of staying consistent, which is why I believe doing this together can be powerful and motivating.

Soon, I’ll begin facilitating Fluentbody™ classes in Mazunte and around Mexico. And a dream is coming to life: the Art Walks—guided walks along the beautiful beaches of Mazunte where we’ll celebrate community through the fusion of movement, art and nature.

You might be wondering: What does the fusion of art and movement actually look like?✨ Join me, and let’s move and create—together.
